Setting Up Proxies in Multilogin
Multilogin and Proxies
Multilogin is a professional anti-detect browser designed for managing multiple browser profiles. Each profile creates a unique digital fingerprint, while a proxy ensures a unique IP address.
Multilogin X (the latest version) offers a cloud-based platform with advanced proxy management capabilities.
Adding Proxies to a Profile
Creating a Profile with a Proxy
- Log in to Multilogin X
- Click "New Profile" or "Quick Profile"
- In the "Proxy" section, click "Edit proxy"
- Select the connection type:
- HTTP
- HTTPS
- SOCKS5 - Fill in the fields:
- IP Address or Hostname
- Port
- Login
- Password - Click "Check proxy" to verify
- If the check is successful, you will see the IP, country, and city
- Click "Paste proxy" to enter it in a single-line format
Quick Entry (Paste proxy)
Multilogin accepts proxies in the following formats:
- ip:port:login:password
- login:password@ip:port
- socks5://login:password@ip:port
- http://ip:port
Paste the string — Multilogin will automatically recognize the format and fill in the fields.
Proxy Management
Proxy Manager
Multilogin X features a built-in proxy manager:
1. Open the "Proxies" section in the sidebar menu
2. All added proxies are stored here
3. You can create proxy groups by purpose
4. Quickly assign proxies to a profile directly from the manager
Proxy Groups
Organize proxies into groups:
- "Instagram USA" — residential proxies from the USA
- "Amazon DE" — ISP proxies from Germany
- "Facebook Mobile" — mobile proxies
Bulk Assignment
- Select multiple profiles
- Action → "Assign proxies"
- Choose proxies from the manager or paste a list
- Multilogin will assign a unique proxy to each profile
Proxy Verification
Built-in Check
When adding a proxy, click "Check proxy". Multilogin will verify:
- Availability and speed
- Real IP address
- Geolocation (country, region, city)
- IP type (residential, datacenter, mobile)
Automatic Check
Multilogin can automatically check proxies before launching a profile. If a proxy is unavailable, the profile will not launch, preventing the real IP from leaking.
Fingerprint Configuration for Proxies
Automatic Matching
Multilogin automatically adjusts profile parameters to match the proxy:
- Timezone — determined by IP geolocation
- Language — configured according to the region
- WebRTC — substitutes the proxy IP
- Geolocation API — coordinates based on IP
Manual Configuration
In the profile's Advanced Settings, you can manually configure:
- Timezone (if auto-detection is inaccurate)
- Languages and locale
- WebRTC mode (Real, Altered, Disabled)
- Geolocation (coordinates or Auto)
Proxy Types for Multilogin
For Social Media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok)
Recommendation: Residential or Mobile proxies. Sticky IP from a single city.
For E-commerce (Amazon, eBay)
Recommendation: ISP/Static Residential. Fixed IP for a persistent account.
For Ad Accounts
Recommendation: Static Residential. Maximum trust and stability.
For Parsing
Recommendation: Rotating Residential or Datacenter. Mass IP rotation.
Integration with Proxy Providers
Multilogin features partner integrations:
- "Get proxies" button in the interface
- Offers from providers with special conditions
- Automatic proxy import via provider API
Selenium/Puppeteer Automation
Multilogin provides an API for automation:
- Programmatic creation of profiles with proxies
- Bulk proxy management via API
- Launching profiles with automatic proxy verification
- Integration with Selenium and Puppeteer
Best Practices
- One proxy = one profile — never share proxies between accounts
- Geo-matching — use proxies from the same region as the account's target audience
- Stable IP — for long-term accounts, use static residential proxies
- Pre-launch check — always verify proxies before launching a profile
- Backup proxies — have a reserve for quick replacement
Conclusion
Multilogin offers professional proxy management tools for multi-accounting. The built-in manager, automatic verification, and fingerprint integration with proxies make configuration convenient and secure. The key to success is choosing the right proxy type for your specific task.
